Tasty Chicken Kebabs


  • 600 grams (or more if you wish)of chicken breast tenderloins
  • 2 TBS Kecap Manis or (Kikkoman’s Sweet Soy Sauce  …make sure you use the one with no preservatives…. many have petroleum bases which are not good for you)
  • 2 TBS of natural honey
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 Teaspoons of freshly grated ginger
  • 2 TBS of lightly toasted (in pan with a drop of grape seed oil ) sesame seeds
  • 4-5 sprigs of fresh coriander to garnish
  • Basmati rice (enough for two people)
  • Green fresh peas (from their pods)

Place in an open dish the Kecap mannis, garlic, ginger, honey; add chicken and baste the chicken, leave covered in the fridge for about 2 hours (if possible) occasionally turning the chicken. Place chicken on wooden skewers and cook over a BBQ grill turning constantly until nicely browned. Pour remaining juices over chicken in the last minute of cooking. Cook basmati rice and serve with fresh steamed green peas. Sprinkle over sesame seeds when you are about to serve and place finely chopped coriander amongst the rice and serve hot!! (Serves two or more) Bon appetite !!
