According to some Facebook users this weekend you can lose weight by taking fat burning foods, speed up your metabolism by having ginger tea, green tea, lots of caffeine, Chili, or lime juice in the morning, clean your liver with lemon juice, avoiding carbohydrates to lose weight and eat more protein or take a supplement to burn fat!!…

Sadly this is not case save your hard earned cash and stick to aerobic exercise to increase metabolic rate, lift weights to increase muscle mass, and eat sensibly from all the food groups. There are no magic or super foods, potions, pills or supplements that can do this for you. Some supplements have so much caffeine in them that they can cause heart arrhythmia.

Consult a Dietitian for dietary advice and use an exercise physiologist to subscribe a sensible work out for you. This will be money well spent. Not being able to walk, vomiting after or during a workout does not constitute a good workout.

Eat loads of vegetables, 2 pieces of fruit a day, eat small amounts of lean protein, and grainy breads, rice and lentils, include some dairy, drink lots of water to stay hydrated, move daily avoid alcohol and be consistent will ensure you reach your goals. There you go…. that cost you nothing J
