Making Relaxation a Daily Activity

You need to include relaxation as part of your daily routine. Since the early “70’s” the medical profession has recognised that conscious relaxation causes many physiological changes to occur in our bodies.   Of course the holistic health practitioners and the eastern cultures have been telling us this for centuries.

Scientific studies have now shown that relaxation can benefit us by assisting us to:

  • reduce blood pressure
  • slow our respiratory rate
  • reduce heart rate
  • reduce muscle tension

Mentally and emotionally relaxation techniques practiced daily tend to give individuals a greater sense of calmness, optimism, wellness and added vigour.  So take the time to add “time out” to your daily routine.
